Cybersecurity Services in Sharjah

Part of Cybersecurity Services in Dubai

The loss that actually happens to a Sharjah trading company is not a dramatic breach. It is an invoice paid to the wrong account after somebody read a mailbox quietly for a month — and the controls that stop it cost almost nothing and are usually switched off.

Invoice fraud is the Sharjah exposure that matters

A Sharjah importer or distributor sends and receives payment instructions constantly, often to overseas suppliers, and often in amounts large enough to be worth stealing. That makes the pattern reliable: an attacker gains access to a mailbox, watches, then intervenes in a real invoice thread with amended bank details.

Nothing breaks. No alarm sounds. A real person in your Sharjah finance office authorises a real payment following the real process, and the money leaves the UAE before the supplier chases it.

The controls are unglamorous and cheap. Multi-factor authentication on every mailbox, an alert when a mailbox starts forwarding externally, external-sender marking so a lookalike domain is visible, and a rule that changed bank details are confirmed by phone to a number held beforehand. That last one is procedural, costs a Sharjah business nothing, and is what actually stops the loss.

MFA everywhere

On every account, including the owner who asks to be excluded.

Forwarding alerts

Notification when a mailbox rule starts sending mail elsewhere — the classic first sign.

Domain protection

SPF, DKIM and DMARC configured so your own Sharjah domain cannot be spoofed against your staff.

Out-of-band verification

Changed bank details confirmed by phone, agreed with finance before it is needed.

Which obligations reach a Sharjah business

Security duties in the UAE arrive from more than one direction. The federal data protection law sets a baseline for personal data, and free zone entities in SAIF Zone or Hamriyah may carry additional requirements through their zone authority or their own customer contracts.

Sharjah's education sector adds another layer. Schools, colleges and the institutions around University City hold information about minors, and both regulation and ordinary duty put a higher bar on how that is handled — mostly a question of who can see what rather than of technology.

How security work reaches Sharjah

Assessment, configuration, monitoring and incident response are delivered remotely from Kannur, and none of it is improved by being in the building. Awareness training for your Sharjah staff is delivered as live remote sessions using examples from your own industry.

Where a physical review matters — server room access, who can walk to a cabinet, what is plugged into what — that is attended in person and scheduled. We keep no Sharjah office, and the honest framing is that most of this work never needed one.

Remote assessment

Configuration review, gap analysis and monitoring, none of which needs a site visit.

Live remote training

Your Sharjah staff shown real phishing examples from their own sector.

Attended physical review

Server room and access control seen in person where it matters.

Remediation, not just findings

The fixes carried out and retested rather than listed in a report nobody actions.

Common questions

Invoice redirection, by a wide margin. An attacker reads a mailbox for weeks, then amends bank details inside a genuine invoice thread. Nothing is technically broken, which is why the defences are procedural as much as technical.
